INSPECTION SYSTEM

Inspection is performed to customer specification or applicable MIL-SPEC, in accordance with MIL-I-45208

  1. Visual inspection of all coated surfaces.
  2. Non-destructive measurement of dry film thicknesses, using Eddy Current Induction measurement of coating thickness on aluminum and other non-ferrous substrates, or a magnetic (clicker) gauge for measurement of non-magnetic coatings on steel substrate.
  3. Cross-hatch tape test for adhesion.
  4. Solvent rub test for cure of the coating.
  5. Salt spray testing per ASTM-B117. Mil-Spec test requirement is typically 336 hours exposure to 5% salt fog with no blistering, cracking or delaminating of film. No rust creepage at scribe and no rusting at edges can occur within the prescribed test hours.

We meet and exceed quality requirements of Harley Davidson Motor Co., General Dynamics, Bell Helicopter, Comsat, Sikorsky, Lockheed Martin, United Defense/FMC.
